Design&Engineering of the Smart Pole – from the research on context, materials, and manufacturing processes, through concept development and prototyping, to the final product. Smart Pole is a part of a pilot project on Smart Roads in the context of Italian highways (E64, Milano-Torino). The function of the Smart Pole is to monitor highways and provide knowledge about the safety of roads. The future perspective of this project is to leverage the connectivity on the road.
